Tom Yum (Thai spicy) soup is a subtle blend of hot and sour tastes with citrus overtones derived from the lime juice and kaffir lime, and can be prepared quickly with this paste. Simply boil water, add the paste and shrimp or other meat or tofu. Then just add fish sauce to suit your taste buds
How to use (Recipe for Shrimp Tom Yum):
Boil 2 cups (480ml) of water
Empty the contents of the packet into the water
Add shrimps and mushrooms
Before serving, addfish sauceor salt and lime juice to taste
Other suggested uses: Fish, mussels, scallop and other firm white-flesh fish or chicken
Tips:
Submerge the packet in hot water for about a minute. Then cut it open and the paste will come out easily.
If using shrimp, be careful not to overcook the shrimp as they will become tough very easily.
