Chilli Paste in Soybean Oil / Nam Prik Pao (225g) Maesri
Nam Prik Pao is excellent in Thai food, a roasted red chilli paste often added to tom yum soup and ideal for stir-fries, spreading and dipping. Medium hot red chilli paste is used as a cooking ingredient and used from jar as a dip, sandwich spread etc.
Can also be mixed with cooked rice or stir with fried rice.
Refrigerate after opening.
Ingredients: Sugar, Soybean Oil 16%, Garlic, Shallot, Dried Chillies 10%, Tamarind Juice, Fish Sauce (Anchovy (Fish) Extract, Salt, Sugar), Dried shrimp (Crustaceans)
Cooking Instructions for Tom Yum soup:
1. Add 2tbsp of chilli paste in soybean oil into 3 cups of boiling water, and stir to combine.
2. Add 5 kaffir leaves, 3 lemongrass (cut into 2 inches long), 300g of shrimp, 200g of mushroom, 4tbsp of fish sauce, and cook until shrimp is cooked.
3. Add 4tbsp of lime juice, and 6 pieces of birds eye chilli.
4. Garnish with coriander.
5. Ready to serve
Store at a cool dry place. Avoid direct sunlight
