Premium Quality Rice Sticks (Rice Noodles) are a staple source of carbohydrates in Thai and South-East Asian cuisine. XO's rice sticks have a soft and chewy texture, perfect to use in Asian noodle dishes. They are a highly versatile noodle, suitable for a range of recipes from stir fries such as Pad Thai or Pad See Ew, in soups and more.
Ingredients:Rice 87.3%, Water 10%, Modified Starch (E1414) 2.7%
Suggestion for preparation:
1. Soak rice sticks in hot water for about 4-6 minutes (for fast preparation) or soak in warm water for about 45-60 minutes until softened.
2. Drain the XO rice sticks and they are ready for cooking.
Making Noodle soup:
Put prepared XO rice sticks in boiling water for 45-50 seconds. Rinse with cold water and put into serving bowl. Pour with hot broth and then serve whilst hot.
Making Stir Fry Noodles:
Pout 1-2tbsp of cooking oil into a pan for 1 minute.
Add meats, vegetables and sauce, stir fry for 3-5 minutes.
Add prepared XO rice sticks and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until cooked, then serve whilst hot.
