5 Ingredient BBQ Pork Ribs
Whether they’re on a menu or at a summer BBQ, finger licking ribs are hard to resist but what’s even better is equally delicious and fuss-free baked BBQ ribs.
Pork ribs are of course a tender and juicy cut of meat, and our oven baked recipe is no exception. These ribs are delicious and made with only 5 ingredients including Rajah’s BBQ Seasoning for the base of flavour, enhanced with Rajah’s Paprika Powder and a small amount of palm sugar for a hint of sweetness to balance out the savoury seasonings.
The oven baking process isn’t just for the convenience of not having to set up the outdoor grill stand but this process helps to seal in the natural juices to ensure every is succulent and flavourful.
For the ultimate flavour and taste experience, this recipe calls for the ribs to be topped with Ajumma Republic’s rich, sweet and fiery Korean spicy BBQ sauce after cooking.
Ingredients:
- 300g Pork Ribs
- 200g Ajumma Republic BBQ Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Paprika
- 2 Tbsp Rajah BBQ Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp Palm Sugar
Optional: Sprinkle with sesame seeds for presentation.
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the paprika, BBQ seasoning and palm sugar and set aside.
- Prepare the pork ribs by removing the excess fat and cutting them into individual portions. Then follow by evenly sprinkling and rubbing the seasoning mix over the ribs to marinade. Leave to marinade for a few hours or for best results, leave in the fridge overnight.
- Next, preheat the oven at 180˚C and bake the ribs in foil for 30-45mins until cooked through. Checking periodically.
- Once cooked, add ribs to a clean bowl filled with 200g of the Ajumma Republic BBQ marinade sauce using your hands to mix the ribs through and evenly coat.
- Now, remove the ribs from the sauce and place them on a grill rack and cook for 5 minutes at 180˚C until the BBQ sauce becomes thick and sticky. Rotate the ribs periodically and brush them with the remaining BBQ sauce for an even coating of the thickened BBQ sauce all over the ribs.
- Finally, serve with your choice of rice or sides and enjoy!
