Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup Paste Packet 50g by Asian Home Gourmet
This authentically flavoured hot & sour soup from China’s Szechuan province is a meal on its own.
Keep away from direct sunlight and store in cool dry place.

Serves 4: 1 pack of spice paste, 1 tsp vegetable oil, 100g chicken breast fillet, 880ml water or stock, 70g mixed vegetables, 2 tsp corn starch, 2 tsp water, 1 beaten egg, onions for serving. Directions: Heat the oil under medium heat. Add the meat and roast for 1 minute. 2. Add water and spice paste. Stir and boil. 3. Mix the corn starch and 2 tsp water. Pour it into the soup. Stir it for 3 minutes. Add the egg. You can use shirimp or fish, instead of chicken. As a vegetarian version, use tofu and mushroom.
Ingredients: Soya sauce (soyabean, wheat flour, salt, sugar), sugar, red chillies, salt, onion, spirit vinegar, dried fungus, modified starch (tapioca), colour (caramel/150A).
